Interbus - Interbus is a travel choice between renting a car and taking the public bus. The air conditioined vans go to between most of the popular tourist spots in Costa Rica. NavegArtis Academica - Internet Café and international calling center immediately east of Banco Popular.

HEALTH AND PHARMACIES:
Farmacia Lobo - A large well-stocked pharmacy with experienced pharmacists on duty. Located 100 meters west of the San Ramon Central Market: 506-447-4342.

Farmacia Central - A slightly less expensive option located in the Northeast corner of the San Ramon Central Market.

Chiropractor - Dr. Jimmy Lee, a US Licensed Chiropractor with 11 years experience, has been helping people in San Ramon for a decade. His office is located 2 blocks North and 25 meters east from the Intersection of the Bomba Chury gas station near the entry of San Ramon. For an appointment call: 2-447-0996.

Tennis Lessons with Ralph - Ralph Wesolowski, a DTB (Duetsche Tennis Bund) certified tennis instructor with 15 years teaching experience offers private and group lessons at various locations in San Ramon. A one-hour private lesson are available: 506-8-398-9203.

Yoga - Graciela Valverde offers soft flow yoga for all abilities at the chiropractic office 200 meters north and 25 meters east of Bomba Chury gas station. Group classes are Monday and Friday at 6PM and Saturday at 2PM. Private classes are also available by appointment: 8-843-2851 or by email at graciela@arenal-monteverde.com.


SUPERMARKETS:
Perimercado - A large well-stocked grocery open until 10 PM.

Molina - The old-time San Ramon supermarket with many bulk items. The happening spot for established San Ramon.

Galleron (Formerly the Co-op supermarket) -The highlight here is the freshly roasted coffee sold ground and whole bean and put into bags while you wait.

MegaSuper - It's in the mall. This large supermarket is also open evenings. It carries some general merchandise and has weekly specials.

SCHOOLS:
Colegio Bilingue San Ramon - Bilingual School (K-12) located in San Pedro, the village immediately west of San Ramon: 506-445-6454.

Sun Light School - Bilingual School (K-12) has recently moved to a new facility in downtown San Ramon near the feria.

San Ysidro Public School - A San Ramon public school bilingual alternative located in San Ysidro, but accommodating students from all over San Ramon.

Earth Education International - A multicultural experiential learning organization based in San Ramon offering short courses and semester-long study abroad programs in sustainable global stewardship emphasizing field study, volunteer service-learning work and cultural immersion: EarthEdIntl.org

Earth University - Although not based in San Ramon, Earth University has strong links to our community. One of its leaders is Jose A. Zaglul, a favorite son of San Ramon. It is an environmentally focused University with students from all over the world. Its campus and operations are based on the Carribean side. Earth bananas are sold in all Wholefoods stores. University credit can be arranged through many Universities world wide including Cornell University in our U.S. hometown: Earth University


Green Mountain Academy – Learning Across Borders Language School offers private and group lessons in English Spanish, French, German, and Mandarin: Idiomas 506-2447-9119/ 8845-2028


VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS:
Habitat for Humanity - Habitat para La Humanidad Costa Rica has had a presence in San Ramon since 1997. Their volunteer organization has provided housing for numerous families in our area. Habitat for Humanity.org

Rustic Pathways - Costa Rica is host to many high school and gap year volunteer programs for youth and young adults. Rustic Pathways maintains an ongoing base in our hometown of La Paz where high school students live with local families and participate in the school and sports program. The program provides a cultural exchange that benefits both the North American and European students who gain exposure to a very different way of life and to the local youth whose world and language skills are expanded.
